Utah Men's Tennis Begins Road Trip Witn Win Over UC Riverside

Riverside, Calif. - The University of Utah men's tennis team defeated UC Riverside 4-3 on Mar. 13 at the Student Recreation Center courts. No. 72 Utah improves to 9-2 on the season while the Highlanders drop to 5-6 on the season.

Utah got on the scoreboard early by sweeping the doubles.

In singles, five of the six matches went into a third set. The Utes took the No. 3, 4 and 6 singles with Miron Mann defeating Joe Cartledge (5-7, 6-4, 6-1) and Nick Coutts beating Norman Tam (6-1, 6-2). Jason Yap earned the deciding victory (6-3, 6-7, 6-2) over Jordan Leo.
