4:30 p.m.: A two-vehicle accident occurred at Hwy. 30 and
Hwy. 169. Carmen Hood, 41, Lohrville, was westbound on Hwy.
30 when another vehicle, operated by Arleen GeGenheimer, 49,
Granger, turned east into the path of the westbound vehicle,
causing a collision. Injured were both drivers, and two
passengers in the Hood vehicle, Jennifer Hood, 11, and
Stefanie Hood, 12, all of Lohrville. Subjects were
transported by ambulance to Boone County Hospital. Damage
was estimated at $6,000 to Hood's 1999 Buick and $7,500 to
GeGenheimer's 2005 Chevy. GeGenheimer was cited for failure
to yield upon making a left turn.
